Summer in Mill Town

Summer in Mill Town is an abstract landscape painting of West Pelzer, SC, the town where I grew up and spent much of my childhood. Using primarily bright magenta, blue, green, and orange, the painting employs a tetradic color scheme to convey life in an idealized way, shaped by memories and nostalgia. It celebrates the small, often overlooked moments in life where beauty can be found. This piece was featured in the 13th Annual Collegiate Invitational Art Exhibition , sharing its perspective on memory, color, and the personal significance of place with a wider audience.
